SMS Consent Language for Employers

For employers using Veridia onboarding · Last updated June 30, 2026

Overview

Veridia sends onboarding text messages to your new hires on your behalf — for example, a secure link to begin onboarding, identity-verification prompts, and reminders. You must obtain each employee's consent before any text is sent. Use the language below in your offer letter, onboarding form, or a standalone consent checkbox.

Requirements

  • Make consent active. Use an unchecked box the employee affirmatively selects, or a clear written affirmation. Do not pre-check the box, and do not bundle consent into the offer-letter signature.
  • Do not make consent a condition of employment. Offer an alternative, such as email, if the employee declines.
  • Keep a record of each employee's consent — who consented, when, and how.

Consent language to use

Copy the following into your offer letter or onboarding form, replacing [Employer Name]:

☐ I agree to receive text messages from Veridia on behalf of [Employer Name] about my onboarding — including a secure link to get started, identity-verification prompts, and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of employment.
